A big thanks to Lauren Waters, author extraordinaire , for nominating me for two of these awards, and to the ever inspiring, Addie, for the second. Go check them out!
Oh, and a poll’s at the bottom for the First Line Contest.
It’s always fun to add these cute little badges on my side bar and pass them along.
For your sanity and mine, though, I’m adding these all into one post…
Now for the rules…
As there are a couple sets for the different awards, I’m making the executive decision to pick my favorite. Gosh, it’s great to be the god of my own universe blog.
S0, I get to tell you 7 things that I never get tired of:
1) I never get tired of …big, genuine smiles.
2.) I never get tired of …peanut butter
3.) I never get tired of …my dog being my footwarmer
4.) I never get tired of …love stories
5.) I never get tired of …the way a fresh rain smells on asphalt
6.) I never get tired of …reading books in bed at night
7.) I never get tired of …the way it feels when the weather changes in the fall
Now to pass on the award love to some truly deserving blogaristas:
1.) Jennifer Eaton
3.) Pen Up Girl
4.) Sara Flower
5.) Lauri Meyers
6.) Pam Wight
7.) Tanya Spencer
Don’t forget to vote!
UPDATE: I’m having a Polldaddy problem. If I can’t get it up by the end of the day, feel free to cast your vote in the comment section. Sorry for the technical difficulties!!

great poll! Great first lines! hmmmm…
oh, and congrats on the awards!
Blogaristas! I love the term. And congratulations!
Congrats on the awards.
And thank you for the mention!
I am with you on the peanut butter. lol
Heheehee. Peanut butter’s amazing.
Congratulations on the trifecta of awards! Thank you so much for the shout out. We have a constant supply of PB&J crust here, if you ever need a peanut butter fix…
Yeah to PBJs!
Hey, thank you so much for adding me to your list of deserving blogaristas – I think you’ve coined a new blogging term. Fabulous!!! I’m off on vacation so will respond when I return. But I will never get tired of reading your blog!! You’re terrific. You’re poll is really fun – how’d you do that? I clicked on my vote. Cheers!
OooOooh –have a fun vacay, Pam!
Oh –and you can make polls on Polldaddy. All you do is make up your question and answers and then it will give you a code to copy and paste into your post that embeds it. On WordPress this is made so much easier by the fact that you can just click on “polls” in your dashboard, and they’ve got it hooked up to polldaddy already. Just make one and click to embed it in a new post. Every once in a while it’s tempermental though…
that’s great to know – thanks! I’ll try it after the beach.
What a beautiful fun blog! The poll is a great idea too! I like your blog roll list too! Great people and nice to be in contact with other writers! Cheers Abbey
Thanks, Abbey! What a great compliment. I’m amazed at all the awesome writers I’ve met through the blog.
Write on, girl!
I also never get tired of the smell of rain on asphalt and the change of seasons into fall. I got my vote in! I really thought they were all great. So many good novels in the works
Just saw my name on here, Erin – I’ve been a bit out of it lately. Thanks for adding me! I eat PB every morning, LOVE the smell of rain and Fall is my favorite season. Guess I’d better go vote on the first line.
Love the rain… Congrats on your awards.
