Le sigh. I’ve been tagged as the recipient of the One Lovely Blog award. Hurrah!
And (I’m cramming them both into one post to streamline –don’t judge me), the Reader Appreciation Award. Double Hurrah!
I’ve been nominated by the oh so awesome, Lada Ray. Thanks, Lada! And the marvelous Pam Wight. Thanks, Pam! AND, Amanda Leigh. Go –run–check out their blogs. :)
- The rules of acceptance for this award nomination are as follows:
-
- Thank the person/people who nominated you and link back to them in your post (Check)
- Share 7 things about yourself (Getting to that…)
- Nominate 15 or so bloggers you admire (That too…)
- Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know (Will do!)
Here are seven things about me you may or may not have known:
- My dog sleeps in bed with me
- Peanut butter and chocolate is my favorite sugary combination
- Brie and puff pastry is my favorite savory combination
- Because of the previous two answers, I live in constant fear of my scale
- I love Wes Anderson films
- I can drink coffee late at night and still go to sleep
- I am geekily obsessed with Downton Abbey and the Vampire Diaries. (And I know geekily’s not a word, but I’m using it anyway.)
The lovely bloggers and wonderful people I choose to nominate (who, for the sake of my sanity, and generally brevity) are both creators of lovely blogs, and ones who I appreciate as a reader:
- Adam Martin
- Congrats, guys!
- Oh, and I’ve been terribly lazy about blogging lately. I promise to be better in the coming weeks! Am thinking another flash fiction contest is in order.
Ideas??

Double congrats! I used to be able to drink coffee before I went to bed, but since having kids I have to switch to decaf after noon
I don’t have any ideas for a flash fiction, but I know you’ll come up with something good !
*Wheels turning*
Erin, thank you so much! I know you’re a faithful visitor to The Writerly Life, and I so appreciate that. I’ll do my best to respond (and thus be worthy) of the One Lovely Blog Award (this one is a first for me). It may take me a few days, but I will get to it. And thanks again. (Please go over and read today’s interview with Lynne Barrett, if you haven’t already. She’s a terrific fiction writer with a lot of wisdom to share: http://gerrygwilson.com
Ooh –thanks Gerry. Will do!
Whatever flash fiction idea you come up with, I’m in.
Congrats!
Yayayayay!!!!! In that case, perhaps I could cook up some devilish requirement, like mandating that monkeys and marshmallow fluff be included.
Yay! Another chance to ramble on about Fluff Monkeys!
Congrats! My dog sleeps with me, too, along with my 6-year-old
Congrats! My husband, my twins and my cat sleep in my bed. I don’t
Ooops, I missed this!
Thank you, Erin, that’s deeply, deeply appreciated! And congratulations yourself too; they are well deserved awards for you.
Oh and just recently, me, my fellah and the twins are sleeping in the same bed. I’m glad its a king, that’s all I can say!
Oh my gosh, I remember those days. Twins in bed, whew! It’s definitely a good thing you’ve got a king.
